A big THANK YOU to the Embracing 2018 Legacy funding that has enabled these coaches  to access this development activity. A great initiative that helps grow our sport.

The coaching team will be in contact with athletes in the next couple of weeks via email.

Some things to consider as part of your preparation:
Do you have your lifting suit ready to compete in? Bike pants/shorts are not allowed.
Uniform items of Queensland lifting suits, tracksuit jackets, t-shirts & polo shirts are on sale at the QWA office. Email with your questions or order.

Do that little bit extra to prepare for your competition experience. Log into your QWA account and select the “Online referee training” option. Its free of charge and will give you a great idea of what the referees will be looking for.

Those already qualified make the most of the opportunity by getting some officiating experience at a National Championships – just email with your availability.

We have run out of time for a pre-comp squad training session. Happy to announce that there will be a QWA Masters Squad training session 10-12 on Saturday 4th August at Burleigh Barbell Club for all those interested in attending. Great chance to have your technique critiqued and also an opportunity to catch up with those lifters setting off to Spain for the World Masters Weightlifting Championships.
