The specific needs of QWA teams and individual weightlifters are the primary concerns when appointing staff positions within Queensland teams contesting AWF National Championships. 

12 weeks out from each individual National Championships the QWA will call for Team Staff positions for the Queensland team, closing 10 weeks out from the event. 8 weeks out from the event the QWA MC will announce the full contingent of appointed officials. 

The QWA Management Committee (MC) has the sole decision-making authority over the selection of the following team personnel – Team Leader, Head coach, Staff coaches, and Personal coaches.
