FIND A CLUB

Contact your nearest weightlifting club to arrange your first training session. 

A qualified weightlifting coach will provide you with expert instruction and guidance every time you train at the club.

Weightlifting training revolves around developing the skills and strength to perform the two Olympic lifts – the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.

BECOME A MEMBER

Sign up as a member of the Queensland Weightlifting Association to lift in competitions, volunteer at events or register as a weightlifting coach.

You do not need to be a member of a weightlifting club to compete, but you must be a QWA member.

Only current members are covered in competition and training by the Australian Weightlifting Federation insurance.
