Last weekend we saw the running of another successful QWA event! 86 young lifters competed at Milton Weightlifting Club with more state and national records broken from 13 individuals and PB's all round, a special mention of Michael Nides of Bounce Weightlifting Club with coach Regan Hams lifted a whopping increase to his total with an extra 64kgs, what a result!!!!

Congratulations to all involved from volunteer to canteen to loader to MC to athletes from far and wide, you all made the event possible!

Last but not least, on behalf of QWA, HUGE thanks to Tim and Fiona Redhead and Milton Weightlifting Club members for hosting this event and also Bowen Stuart and Marty Field with their dedication and media expertise.

It's only a couple of weeks now until the AWF U23 and Junior National Championships and with over 40 entries Queensland is bound to make an impact!

Good luck to all those competing and we look forward to the results!

Everyone else however does need to apply for a Blue Card regardless of your work-related role.

It’s easy to apply, it’s free and takes approximately 2 weeks to receive your Blue Card. If you have an existing Blue Card you will need to link it to the QWA.
