UPDATED ***National U15 and Youth Championship results.

Congratulations to ALL for your amazing results last weekend!

.......not only the Lifters but also the Coaches, Volunteers, Technical Officials and everyone involved.

Cougars Weightlifting Club supplied not only a fantastic venue, but also great facilities with a well maintained warm up area, and probably one of the best canteens yet! Huge efforts went to keeping all the people fed and watered and we would like to thank Amie Cox and her crew for all the hard work and time taken to bake, cook and prepare a very important part of any event - FOOD!! Thank you to Dr David Pakchung for being in attendance all weekend, with we are happy to report, no serious incidents to contend with :)

You may have already seen plenty of amazing pics posted on the AWF facebook site this week and as you can imagine lots left to sort through -  about 28 hours of 'clicking away' from the dedicated Marty Field (Field Media) and Bowen Stuart from AWF ( who literally landed at Brisbane Airport and came straight to the venue after a full week working at Worlds in Pattaya!! ). Keep checking if you haven't seen your session, they will all be uploaded.

The results most definitely speak for themselves and can be found HERE ...............outstanding!!!

A team of 70 lifters hit the platform with a massive 43 Queensland lifters increasing their PB's and another 11 breaking records, both State and National!!!

Behind every great event is a great team! Tireless and dedicated coaches from left to right, top row we have Miles Wydall, Jackson Solofa, Greg Hobl, Callum Hannay, then next from the left Leanne Knox, Sonia Stenhouse, Coral Quinell, Jade Sharp. The expertise and knowledge in the warm up area was second to none and Queensland can safely say that we have some of the most experienced coaches not only nationally but globally!

Last, but by far not least, Team Manager Julie Hind (pictured in team photo -  front and centre second row) after long hours of preparation and numerous visits to the weigh-in room she was an integral component of the teams success. Love your work Julie!!!!

Queensland took home all four of the available team trophies:

U15 Female Team, U15 Male team, Youth Female team & Youth Male team!!!

Onya Queensland!!!!
