Club competitions at Berserker Barbell (Mackay), Milton Weightlifting Club (Brisbane) & Thunder Barbell Club (Townsville) are all scheduled to run the weekend of the 20th August. QWA members will no doubt make the most of this opportunity to continue to work on qualifying for State Seniors. The CWC competition last weekend saw numerous PB’s set, and a number of athletes qualified for National Senior Championships. A great achievement!

Squad training for the State team contesting the National Masters is also scheduled to take place at Noosa Barbell Club on the 20th August.

Entries are now open online for the QWA All Schools Championships to be held at St Andrews Lutheran College, West Tallebudgerra. Entries close 28th August.

The QWA has once again been successful in gaining funding from the Queensland Government. We are sincerely thankful for their support. This support enables the QWA to push ahead with Participation & Development activities.
