As we prepare for the upcoming State U13/U15 & Youth Championships in Ipswich we need to ensure that we do all we can to provide a child safe environment for our members to participate in.
Adults in the Field of Play at the event must have a current Blue Card or Exemption Card and be able to show this on demand. Of even higher priority this Blue Card needs to be linked with the QWA. A quick audit of our Blue Card compliant members has shown that a number of names aren’t on this list, including high level coaches.
This must be addressed before the event.

To link your card with the QWA please email qwa@qwa.org with the following information:

If you don’t have a card you can find all the information you need to apply for one HERE
A reminder that with the recent changes to outfits for weigh-in at events athletes will be weighed in their lifting “uniform” . For this age-group U13/U15 & Youth the weigh-in room door will be left open at all times.

An education session will be held regarding the new weigh-in rules from 9.00-9.30am on Saturday 26th August at the competition venue for all to attend.
