We have now moved past the 641 membership numbers of 2022 to 665 in 2023. Thank you all for your support in making the Queensland Weightlifting Community so successful.
The QWA and its affiliated clubs ran 60 competitions in 2023. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen!
Thanks to funding from the Queensland Government the following emerging QWA coaches have had their conference fees paid to attend the NSWWA Coaching conference in Sydney in January 26-28. The QWA thanks them sincerely for fitting this into their busy schedules. Go Queensland!!!

As we work towards the conference date there may be the opportunity for additional emerging coaches to be funded to attend, particularly women, as the QWA has a grant application with Queensland Government for funds in the Women & Girls space to assist in the education and training of its women.
EOI are now called for emerging coaches who are current QWA members with a current AWF Coaching accreditation to be added to a waiting list for any spaces that may become available if the above participants are unable to attend. Email qwa@qwa.org to lodge your interest.
Fee updates for 2024
Competition entry fees:
State U13/U15 & Youth Championships remain unchanged at $65
State Junior & U23 Championships remain unchanged at $65
State Senior Championships $75
State Masters Championships $65 fee via NQ Games entry portal and $10 registration via the QWA website.
QWA School Age Championships $15
Club Challenge Rounds $10 with additional Club levy as decided by the hosting club.
Membership fees
Senior/Masters/U23 $97
Junior $74 (unchanged)
Youth/Non coach/1 month trial membership/QWA coach with 5 registered QWA athletes $43
Office closure 22 December through to 17th January. The QWA Shop is also closed over this period.
