Dear Technical Official,
The 2021 National Senior Championships will be conducted as an online competition due to the restrictions on travel and gatherings imposed by a number of Australian state governments to control the spread of COVID-19. Lifters will compete from hubs in each State and the Technical Officials will be online. The competition will be held on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November.
Online Referees and Jury members officiate from their own homes. All that is needed is a good internet connection and two devices that connect to the internet (any combination of PC, tablet, smart phone) or a PC with two screens. Online Technical Officials view the lifters making their attempts on one screen and give their decisions by clicking a red or white “button” on the other screen. The weigh-in is also conducted by an online Competition Secretary, with the assistance of a supervising Referee onsite at each competition hub.

An online Technical Seminar will be conducted prior to the championships to prepare all Technical Officials for the online competition and answer any questions.
