Updates from the most recent QWA Management Committee:
U12’s will now be the name for the younger age-group of QWA lifters to hopefully resolve the confusion around the term U13’s. This change brings this age group into line with other age groups ie U15’s are classed as those who are 15 and under in that calendar year. Noting that anyone turning 13 or already 13 in the calendar year are eligible to lift in open sessions of events.
Masters athletes competing at the Gold Coast Masters event are reminded that they need to wear a Queensland suit and have a QWA t-shirt or polo for the team photo. New stocks of both items will be available in the shop in the weeks prior to the event.
