It’s been a very busy Weightlifting month in Queensland… and in cyberspace.
To start off November we had a successful QWA All Schools Championships at St Andrews Lutheran College at Tallebudgera West on the Gold Coast, hosted by Burleigh Barbell Club. With 108 entries we had a very busy weekend of lifting over two long days on Saturday and Sunday 7-8th. We once again had a band of very dedicated QWA volunteers on hand to run the event. Of particular note is the contribution made by our Masters age-group members who are always there to support all age groups in their lifting endeavor’s. THANKYOU!!
Big thank you to Alex Croot for once again taking on the role of organizing the collection and transport of the QWA competition platform from Brisbane to the Gold Coast with the assistance of Cougars “Bob Squad” loading and unloading the necessary pieces of equipment in and out of the van.
COVID safe requirements within the school environment certainly gave us a few headaches. We continue to fine tune our management practices in this space.
