Squad training was run successfully last weekend at Cougars Weightlifting Club. Thank you Cougars for hosting, and thank you Miles Wydall & Sonia Stenhouse for your work on administration and catering.
25 Athletes and coaches from Milton, Cougars, Burleigh Barbell, and Ipswich Weightlifting Clubs attended the Qld Senior Squad training. All enjoyed the great training atmosphere with a few people hitting PB’s. The session finished off with the athletes using the Cougars Recovery Boots while enjoying a complimentary lunch as they listened to an Antidoping Presentation Provided by Sports Integrity Australia.
We wish all involved the best with their final preparations for the Nationals.
Never one to shirk his responsibilities as a Team coach – Jax reluctantly offered to take on the quality control role of the lunch supplies.
