Verification of entries (VOE) for the Chartist Qld Senior Championships close 12md tomorrow via email to qwa@qwa.org – this relates to bodyweight category – lifters who do not make weight will not be permitted to lift in any capacity in the competition; and 20kg rule where declared entry totals at weigh-in must be no more than 20kg lighter than the weight nominated as entry total for the event by the close of VOE. Final entries will be published once the deadline passes.

Pre-orders of items from QWA Shop close 12md tomorrow Queensland Weightlifting (qwashop.org) All athletes need to wear a lifting suit to compete in this event – some supplies of generic black suits are available for purchase through the shop.
Gregg Wilson – Professional Photographer has been tasked with collecting new imagery for our QWA Shop and QWA socials. He will be out and about the competition venue 10am – 2pm the two days of the event taking staged and candid photos. Help him out as required and wear your maroon!!!
There will be a Jury for all sessions of this event – we have a number of TO’s upgrading from Club to State and State to National at this event.

Entries: 10 – Entries close midnight Mon 05 Aug. No qualifying requirements for U12 and U15. Qualifying standard for Youth is Q Youth within the period of 4 August 2023 – 4 August 2024.
Please note that applications for exemption from State events so that eligibility for Nationals is possible now attract the same charge as a full entry. These funds will then go towards the expenses associated with the appointment of Queensland Team support staff managing the Queensland team at the National Championships.
