The 2024 State Junior & U23 Championships was held at Ipswich Weightlifting Club on Sunday 14th April. With 40 entries the event was conducted over just the one day.
A BIG thankyou to the IWC crew for all their hard work to make sure this event was such a success. Female numbers once again dominated the male participation numbers, and numerous new personal bests were set by the participants.

We wish the following athletes all the best with their training as they prepare to represent Queensland at the AWF National Junior & U23 Championships in Perth in June.

Sincere thanks for our team of volunteers who ensured the event ran smoothly. With a special shout out to QWA Management Committee members who took on volunteer roles – Fraser Harrison, Bonney Douglas, Sonia Stenhouse, Callum Hannay, Jemma Cowper and AAG member Luke Gardner.

This event was also used to publicise our collaboration with the White Cloud Foundation. The raffle prize supplied by Rydges Fortitude Valley was taken home by a very excited Sonia Stenhouse.
